What is "Coming Home?"

Coming Home! Self-Taught Artists, the Bible and the American
South is an exhibition of art by 70 untrained Southern artists. These
works show the Bible's influence and the teachings of evangelical
Protestantism, the religion most prevalent in the South. Coming
Home! demonstrates the extraordinary creativity of self-taught artists,
how the Bible's influence permeates their art, and how their work
relates to other forms of Southern artistic expression, such as literature
and music. The exhibition is divided into 4 parts: Southern Religious
Life, The Garden of Eden, The New Adam, and The New Heavens
and Earth.
